Tangerangtalk.Online - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially launched the logo of the National Capital City (IKN) with the theme "Tree of Life". The launch took place on Tuesday (30/05/2023) at the State Palace in Jakarta. The logo, which will serve as the visual identity of the IKN, carries significant meanings.

"The Tree of Life represents vitality, and we hope that this logo will inspire the IKN to create a new living environment for all of us, becoming a source of life for the entire Indonesian society," said the President as quoted by Antaranews.

The President further explained that the logo embodies the philosophy aligned with the spirit of IKN's development, fostering pride in Indonesia's national identity as a great and diverse nation. The logo is also believed to raise awareness among the public to preserve nature, the environment, and its ecosystems.

"It also strengthens our collective efforts and endeavors to contribute to the acceleration of the development of our National Capital City, the future capital of Indonesia," he added.

Furthermore, the Head of State revealed that the logo, created by Aulia Akbar, was selected as the winner through an open voting process with the highest number of votes, participated by over 500,000 voters. He emphasized that it was the people who made the choice, not the President.

Accompanying the President in the event were several officials, including Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Head of the IKN Authority Bambang Susantono, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.

Also present were Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency Suharso Monoarfa, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia, Chief of the Indonesian National Defense Forces Admiral Yudo Margono, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Governor of East Kalimantan Isran Noor, and Acting Governor of Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.
